The Club at Golden Valley Pool
Spend your best days of summer at The Club at Golden Valley's outdoor, heated swimming pool. Open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, the pool area includes an ample sunning deck, a wading pool for youngsters, lockers, shower facilities and a canteen serving deliciously fresh options for poolside dining. Certified lifeguards are on duty at all times, and trained instructors provide swimming lessons for children ages 3 through 13. Plus, members' children and grandchildren can join our competitive and fun swim team.Swim Team
The GMMO Swim Team is comprised of swimmers from four private clubs (The Club at Golden Valley, Minneapolis Golf Club, Medina Golf and Country Club, and Oak Ridge Country Club) who unite each summer to compete under the GMMO team name in the Western Swim League. Through swimming, one can learn self-discipline, goal setting, and confidence. Our goals as a team are to create a safe atmosphere in and around the water, foster a true sense of team among all club participants, and to have fun!
Swim Lessons
The Club at Golden Valley offers semi-private or group swimming lessons for children ages 3 to 13. Taught by trained instructors, each class is tailored to different swimming abilities, from inexperienced swimmers through intermediate swimmers. Children will learn a variety of techniques, including water management skills, standard strokes, back floats, underwater swimming, rhythmic breathing and more. We even have classes for children interested in learning the basics of snorkeling.
